Humana Games for Health (HG4H)

More than 150 million Americans – including a quarter of all preschoolers – play videos games regularly. But, we believe that not all video games are detrimental to players’ health. Games that exercise more than just the thumbs – so-called "exergames" – can actually help players lose weight, increase fitness and improve balance. That’s why Humana has created Humana Games for Health, a series of initiatives designed to explore ways to positively impact health and wellness through video games.

Humana created Stay Smart Stay Healthy, a new-media venture designed to simplify the complex world of health insurance and communicate with healthcare consumers in a way they want and makes sense to them. The program’s goal is simple: to educate consumers on the healthcare system through an informative and engaging series of videos. Availity, LLC

We've worked with other health insurance companies to develop innovative systems that give healthcare providers and members a better experience. For example, we partnered with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida, Inc. to develop Availity, LLC – a multi-payer database that makes it easier for providers and insurers to share information and process claims in a secure environment.
